San Jose’s Montgomery Theatre Supports Black History Month
February Performances include Diva on Tour and Buffalo Soldiers, A Tale Lost
SAN JOSE, CA. - January 31, 2007— Team San Jose and the San Jose Convention & Visitors Bureau welcome two events this February to celebrate and showcase Black History Month in San Jose. Visitors to the Montgomery Theatre will be delighted by the theatrical performances Diva on Tour and Buffalo Soldiers, A Tale Lost.
Step into the past with Diva on Tour, a dramatic comedy with music by The Best Intentions, showcasing legendary soul entertainers The Four Tops, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson and Gladys Knight & the Pips. This musical comedy captures the hearts of all as it takes you through a story of a family’s struggle as they prepare for their superstar sister’s upcoming concert. Celebrate the musical history of Soul and Motown.
Derived from actual events, Buffalo Soldiers, A Tale Lost, will sweep viewers into the intense story of the lives and conflicts of Negro cavalry, army officials, and Indian warriors. This performance illustrates the challenges of a lone courageous soldier risking his life to convince his comrades to stop fighting in a war that he believes is wrong. This historic tale is action packed and not to be missed.
